  A bead of sweat ran down my forehead. Skeleton stood in front of me. It charged at me. I slid on the ground under it scraping it foot. I hopped up. I kicked of the wall and flipped over it slashing it down the middle in the air. It turned to dust. A new one formed. I side stepped as it charged. It ran into the wall. I spin kicked it's back causing it to fall. I twisted it's head with my sword and it to turned to dust. One last one formed. It slid charging at me. I rolled out of the way. I flipped back up. I circled it. I sweeped my leg under it causing it to fall. It lashed at my legs but I ignored the pain. I stabbed it in the back and a pile of dust covered my shoes.   I walked into the arena, really mad that Hermes ever decided to have demi-god children. Those stinking Stoll twins broke my scythe in half in a prank. So now I needed practice with a sword. It was one my step-dad gave to me, which my mother later told me it was originally from my godly father. It had a golden handle with a silvery-blue-ish extend. It glowed when enemies were near. As I entered the arena, it space seemed to be taken up by someone. Technically, one person, but that one person was fighting skeletons. Nico Di Angelo. Usually I could’ve been friends with him by now, but before I could even try, he befriended my enemy, Thalia Grace. I walked a few feet from the entrance as I watched him fight. He used swift moves with his sword that I couldn’t do in my dizziest daydreams. Maybe he could teach me. I thought. It was a possibility. I watched it until it was over, and then acted as I just walked in. Crush some skeletons death boy? I said jokingly. You think you could teach me those moves? I’ve never fought with a sword, and now thanks to those Hermes twins, I need to learn. I leaned up against the wall, waiting for a reply. Think you could help? I smiled leaning agents the wall with my arms cross. "Oh, sorry. Did I interrupt something?" I asked looking at all the dust on the floor and brushed my shoulders that had a few flakes too. "That was pretty impressive. For a . You know, boy." I said joking but in a challenging voice. I raised my leg and tapped my ankle, my sword appeared in my hands. I ran my hands over the ice looking stone it was made of. "So, I saw you and Jaden." I ended my sentence with a smiled.

I smiled, feeling rather dumb. I was always a slow learner, even though I wasn't even close to being dyslexic. Thanks. I really need the training. I said in a thankful voice. As I looked at him, I hope he didn't remember when I said those things about all those guys that Thalia liked, because even though I swore she had kissed one of them, it was wrong. "You hug her." I said smiling. "I say, she might be a better choice than Thalia." I said then noticing another girl, "Hey." I said nodding, "I'm Maya Holt. Unknown Parent so don't ask." I got emotional when I started to talk about who my parent might be. Why couldn't they claim me already?

I felt pretty akward as the continued their convo as I stood there akwardly. Every time I tried to say somthing, they would say somthing. As Nico released some of his skeleton 'buddies', I was near to tears. One of the two things I was scared of: Skeletons. They were so close to me, and I bareley noticed that he was fighting skeletons when I walked in! I sweated ridiculously. Uh, um, c-can you, erhm, uh, p-please t-ry.... I nodded and got into a battle stance. I had learned a few thing at my old school about sword fighting. The skeleton advanced toward me, I step sided at the last minute and swung my sword, on contact the skeleton began to freeze. I ripped my sword out of the frozen dust and urned toward Nico, "I see why you do this, it is fun." I said glancing at Dali.

i was unable to respond to anything, until the skeleton was defeated. the tension was release from my body. I guess I have a, erhm, small phobia of.... Skeletons.... I decided not to leave it at that and added, Spiders, too!
